Long stays
Come for a week. Most people wish they had stayed longer.
More than half our bookings now run a month or more. Guests arrive with a week planned, work from the terrace on Wednesday, and start asking whether the following month is free.
Monthly rates
One arrival, one departure, and the house becomes yours.
The length discount is already in these numbers, so there is nothing to haggle over. Rates exclude 13% IVA.

Working from here
The internet survives the power cuts.
That sentence is doing a lot of work, and it is the honest reason people stay for months rather than weeks. Rural Costa Rica loses grid power. Here the whole 120-volt side of the house — lights, outlets, fridge and both internet connections — runs on solar and around 20 kWh of battery, and simply keeps going. Hot water has a second solar array of its own, so that never stops either.
Google Nest mesh throughout throughout, so the signal reaches the terrace and the pool.
- Starlink, primary
- Fast enough for video calls all day. This is the connection you will actually use.
- Reycom fibre, backup
- Automatic failover. If one drops, the other picks it up without you noticing.
- Both run on solar
- A grid cut takes out the air conditioning and the pool pump. It does not take out your internet, your lights or your coffee.
- Two dedicated offices
- Plus a third desk in the Jungle Room, so two people working at once is never a negotiation.
Settling in
A month here is not a long holiday. It is a different life.
You stop eating out every night. You find your supermarket in Uvita, your fruit stand, your Saturday routine. The howler monkeys stop being an event and become the alarm clock.
The kitchen is a real kitchen — gas cooktop, proper knives, room for two people to cook without colliding. Guests who stay a month use it far more than they expected to.
Jan and Sonia, our concierges, have lived in the area for decades. Over a month they become genuinely useful: the mechanic, the surf lesson, the doctor who speaks English, the restaurant worth the drive on a Tuesday.

Practical
- Who it suits
- Couples and families up to 6. Three ensuite bedrooms means nobody is sharing a bathroom for a month.
- Travelling with small children
- Worth knowing before you book: both guest bedrooms open directly onto the pool deck. Lovely for adults, something to think carefully about with young children. If you have a child who needs to be near a parent overnight, or who cannot yet swim, tell us and we will work out the sleeping arrangements with you.
- Cleaning
- Included mid-stay. Frequency is up to you — most monthly guests settle on fortnightly.
- Bills
- All included. Power, water, both internet connections, pool and garden service.
- Paying
- Bank transfer is simplest for a stay this size and saves you four percent. Cards welcome if you prefer.
- Deposit
- Thirty percent to hold the dates, balance sixty days before you arrive.
- Tax
- Costa Rican IVA at 13% is added at checkout and shown as its own line.
